not so scary movies

i love halloween and the fact that its right round the corner is exciting but theres a problem..i hate horror movies!! can't watch stuff like saw or insidious. what are some gentler movies i can watch to still get the halloween spirit without being scared to death??

Hey @Roaddjack2 I am the same, love the season but not so much the gore....there is so much out there that is in my opinion classic Halloween that does not give nightmares....pretty much any Vincent Price movie fits the bill maybe a little blood but nothing compared to today....a few great ones are The Raven, house of Usher, diary of a madman, house of wax, tales of terror, house on haunted hill, comedy of terrors, tomb of Ligeia....all old classics...hope that helps 🖤🎃👻🕷️

Another approach is to add some Horror Hosts to your viewing experience. They tend to go with films that might fit your viewing comfort zone. Check out some on YouTube or Archve.org - Sally the Zombie Cheerleader, Zomboo, Mr. Lobo's Cinema Insomnia, you can even find the Cool Ghoul, Zacherly.

A little graveyard humour goes a long way...
