I recently completed a short novel called "Aw Shucks; a penny dreadful".
It's a spooky little tale that takes place in 1880s East Anglia, England around the Halloween season. Mysterious happenings are taking place in and around the village of Little Barrow Fen, and a few friends find themselves caught up in the middle of it the week of Halloween. Suspicious activities, a mysterious stranger in the area, an alleged assault against one of the citizens, and best of all -- one of the friends believes they may have had an encounter with a certain cryptid.
