In Farmingdale on Long Island, New York, there is a year 'round Halloween themed restaurant called the Haunted House of Hamburgers. It's doing really well. You can tell it's a converted old Friendly's restaurant. And I'm pretty sure that's a Home Depot twelve foot werewolf out front.

Feeding the hungry, even the spectral kind, has ancient roots in many cultures. I wonder if the lingering spirits of the old Friendly's patrons are still drawn to the aroma of those burgers.

The idea of spectral patrons still craving their favorite menu items is a brilliant setup for a haunt, especially if they manifest as grotesque apparitions trying to reclaim their food. Practical effects could really sell that phantom hunger.
