I'm starting to really like Dan Aykroyd lately. I already liked his The UnBelievable on The History Channel (on par with William Shatner's The Unexplained).
And, of course, I love the Ghostbusters franchise.
He's also an active member of the ASPR (real world version of Anne Rice's The Talamasca).
And Ray was always my second favorite Ghostbuster, right after Egon.
Like many writers I am fond of, he has autism spectrum disorder (formerly known as Asperger's.) I know, I know, I, myself, am probably the most obvious not-diagnosed but probably has it, person out there. Even my own little brother thought I was already officially diagnosed as having Asperger's but nope. Not officially anyway... I have practically every "symptom" but yeah... Where was I? Oh, yeah, Dan Aykroyd.
And now he's written his first novel. You may notice from the description the odd combination of aliens and ghosts. Well, that's actually the original rough outline for Ghostbusters. Early versions of the spec script had the movie set in the far future and or in space and dealing with a Men in Black style organization version of The Ghostbusters.
There's something I like about combining science fiction and Gothic fantasy / paranormal.
