What are your favorite "hidden gem" tracks that capture the spooky vibe without being the typical radio hits?

Oh, 'Haunted House' by Jumpin' Gene Simmons is a total blast, it makes me wanna dance all the way to the next candy stop! It's got that perfect spooky, fun vibe without being one of the super popular ones. 👻

The Wailers' song "High Wall" is a great little instrumental piece that i came across here on Halloween Radio a couple of years ago. It's a great little oldie that you just don't hear on the radio, much less much of anywhere else ...

There are so many hidden gems on halloweenradio.net Oldies channel I wouldn't even know where to start. - Might i just throw out Childrens Day at the Morgue as one of them, or Teenage BrainSurgeon? or Jack the Ripper? so so many!

I think a recent classic would be This is Halloween from Nightmare before Christmas but I'm very partial to Danny Elfman's demo version because it sounds like Jack Skellington, himself, is sing most of it, as he's giving you a grand tour of Halloweentown.

Another one I love and consider to be a lesser known classic is Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo. Also sung by Dann Elfman this song has been the theme song for Six Flag's Fright Fest for decades.

The song Creepy Crawlies by Scary B-tches was the unofficial theme song for Spirit Halloween stores for many years.

The song Fright Night by Jay Band (Formerly J. Giels band is another favorite, from the original 1985 Fright Night soundtrack.

Recently I've also come to really like Voltaire's Decorate for Halloween and Cyndie The Queen of Halloween.

Me too. Blue System samples his cackle a bit for the song Vampire. Vincent Price also had his own cover of Monster Mash. It's actually a really good cover. I highly recommend it.

Note: This was meant to be a reply to the reply that mentioned loving anything with Vincent Price in it. Sorry, I'm still getting used to the forum, which I love, by the way.

Just have to say that every time "Witches Brew" by Janie Jones comes on, my 4yo daughter goes insane and sings along - she just LOVES that song, so thank yall for adding that into the mix!

They definitely have the original Dream Warriors. I've heard it on here many times. I'd love for them to also get the cover version by Lesbian Bed Death.

A few deep(ish) cuts beyond "Halloween All Year Long" that the monsters dig....

Black Art Vampires - Lee Scratch Perry
Bones - Imagine Dragons
Drac's Back - Billy Demarco & Count Dracula
Chase the Devil - Max Romeo (yes, Prodigy fans, this is where the sample came from!)
Soul Dracula - Hot Blood
Summerween - Official Illuminati
Dead Inside - Muse

I know they have Drac's Back, the Andy Forrray and the bollock brothers versions. And Soul Dracula (I think I requested that long ago). I didn't know there's a song called Summerween.
