This September marks the 40th anniversary of The Real Ghostbusters animated series. It was called The Real Ghostbusters to establish it's connection to the popular movie franchise since a previous show and funimation animated series also had the name Ghostbusters.
The Real Ghostbusters animated series is what inspired me to study parapsychology as an adult. In 2008 I graduated from a course of study in parapsychology from The Stratford Career Institute (SCI). I was twenty-six when I fulfilled my dream of having the same academic credentials as a Ghostbuster (Even if it was an online vocational school). I'm forty-four now.
That show was a big part of my childhood. I hope Sony does something fun for The Real Ghostbusters 40th anniversary this Halloween season.
Also This morning I had a dream that the Halloween song (Also called "Touching old Magic") from the real Ghostbusters was given an amazing new cover recording for the 40th anniversary of The Real Ghostbusters animated series. I really like that song and wished it was real. It's one of the few times you see the characters sing in the animated series and it was a good song too.
