New song from The Vampire Lestat "Biggest Fan"

They just released a new song from The Vampire Lestat (Interview With The vampire season 3) and it's obviously a love song for Nicolas.

It's decent but I still feel the Sir Elton John / Bernie Taupin love song for Nicolas is better. (seek out the song "Right before my eyes" by Sir Elton John. It's on Youtube and very rare).

A correction about The Vampire Lestat song "Biggest fan."

I was tired when I listened to the song. "You have to ask for it" and "Wolfkiller" are more Magnus than Nicolas. I guess I just have Nicolas on the brain and didn't really consider that the lyrics might be a Magnus POV song. Somehow I missed the "You have to ask for it." among other non-subtle clues.

The more I listen to it, the more I like the song "Biggest fan" From The Vampire Lestat. I dare say it's my favorite song in the show so far. And yes, it's obviously about Magnus, I was half-asleep when I thought it was about Nicolas. I think I just had Nicki on the brain.

Last night I heard the song “Your Biggest fan” from The Vampire Lestat (season 3 of the Interview with The vampire TV series) and I have to say I really like this song. It’s my favorite of the songs released from the show thus far.

When I heard “Your Biggest fan” last night I didn’t give it my full attention. In my defense I was dead tired and it was two AM. And I’m pretty sure I misheard some of the lyrics. Now I have had the chance to listen to the song… A few times and I came to realize it’s obviously about Magnus. I don’t know how I could have mistaken it as being about Nicolas.

I think part of what tripped me up is Lestat (in the novel) always sang from his own point of view. I wasn’t expecting an alternate POV song, espeically from Magnus’s perspective. The only time Lestat experimented with other points of view (in the books) was when he bounced from point of view to point of view in The queen of the damned novel. But all of his song lyrics (what we saw in the books) were from Lestat's own perspective.

I actually have come to like “Your Biggest fan.” It is tender, loving. It shows that Lestat has affection and sympathy for his maker, despite having been turned into a vampire against his will. And he genuinely believes Magnus loved him (in his own twisted way). It's weirdly loving.

I know it’s slower paced but I think this might have worked better as the season’s theme song. It has more significance to the story and character and I just really like it. Especially the "My brave little Wolfkiller" part.
