I'm seeing a lot of ex-Warrens fans say things like "I read their books and fall for their lies but now I know the truth."

Pardon my bluntness but how did you read their books and still believe them? Reading their own books is what proved they were frauds to me back in the 90s. Each case was the same. The Haunted, Grave Secrets: The story of Black Hope Cemetery, A haunting in Connecticut... They all had the same "Plot." A pious and wholesome Catholic family move into a dream home. The father is a skeptic and may even be semi-possessed while the poor, befuddled wife, deals with the worst of the haunting. The Church can't help. In swoop The Warrens to do spiritual battle with the demons. It's always demons. Demons everywhere! How.... How did you read that and still fall for it? One of their cases they claimed to have exorcised a "demonic" werewolf. It was a little boy with autism having a meltdown... Even if you read their own accounts it looks like they were working with the home owners for a new book and TV movie deal or conning a frightened, religious, and superstitious patsy. And again, that's from reading their own words. I was maybe fifteen (at the most) when I saw the patterns from their own writing.
